Maureen Fain (born in Durban, South Africa) is a watercolor artist known in Israel and abroad for her studies of interiors and still lifes. In this exhibition, an impressive series of portraits is presented by the artist for the first time. 

In the series, each portrait expresses the inner nature of the sitter. The penetrating gaze of the artist captures the range of emotions expressed in the contours of the face and the direct stare of the eyes. Fain has the rare ability to reach the innermost feelings of the subject before her and share them with the viewer.
