Misery

Cameri Theatre

Successful author Paul Sheldon awakes in a lonely cabin during a snowstorm with two broken legs. He discovers that he was in a traffic accident and was saved by Annie Wilks—who insists that she is “his greatest admirer.” Annie a nurse by profession, is addicted to the Misery series of novels written by Sheldon. She cares for the helpless author in the isolated cabin until she succeeds in making contact with the outside world. But the storm ceases, help does not arrive and the nurse turns into a cruel jailor, determined to keep the admired author for herself, and forces him to write a new novel specially for her.
