Design Secrets Behind The Creation of the Harry Potter Series

Lecture by Tal Solomon Vardy

A special meeting

How did the design enterprise around the Harry Potter figure come into being? How does a creative team cooperate for ten years on end?

We'll peep behind the scenes of the wizards' world to see how brilliant design processes made the film series one of the most iconic in the world.

We'll start with the illustrations of the book covers - in the British and American editions - and then look into the production processes of the first two movies: the characters and sets designed in detail and the artistic decisions that made the films a distinctly "non-muggle" experience.

Tal Solomon Vardi is the founder, designer, and journalist of "Uncoated" design magazine and a user-experience designer and lecturer.

Recommended for the curious aged 12 and up.
