The Hebrew Theatre
A moving drama by Arthur Miller
Director: Nathan Datner
Cast: Nathan Datner, Eli Gorenstein, Doriel Zohar, Gal Popular, Odeya Yaron, Nili Tserruya, Dan Touitou and Uri Salzman
In a neighborhood inhabited by Italian immigrants near Brooklyn Harbor, Eddie Carbone (Nathan Datner) and his wife raise the woman's sister's daughter. Two cousins, illegal immigrants to America, arrive at the house. Thus begins the story of a devoted and loving "father" who, in a desperate attempt to keep his "daughter" for himself, is willing to give up his family, self-respect, and life - a story of ardent passion, betrayal, revenge, and natural justice in the face of the judicial system of a civilized society.
The play, considered Arthur Miller's best, was directed by Nathan Datner.
