Considered the greatest of Yiddish poets, Avraham Sutzkever was a fighting partisan during WW2. After the Nazis' defeat, he was chosen to be the only Jewish witness at the Nuremberg trials, where his testimony was regarded as highly influential. The mission's gravity placed him on a journey of remembrance and search for justice, which gave birth to the story of an extraordinary man who believed that his poetry's beauty would be able to bring healing even in the darkest times. "Literature is stronger than death."
The event will be conducted in Yiddish, accompanied by subtitles in Hebrew, and include the reading of Yizkor and the lighting of candles in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
