"Yeladim Shel HaHaim" (Life's Children)
'Sing-along with the Orchestra' series
A series of public singing performances in the Jerusalem Theatre's Concert Hall
With the participation of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra conducted by Eldad Shrem
Featuring: Lital Gabai, Carmi Shimron, Itamar Eliyahu, and Chen Danino
A concert centered around the "Lool" group - one of Israel's revolutionary and generation-changing cultural manifestations. After the Six-Day War, an atmosphere of pursuing peace, freedom, and love arose, inspired by the American anti-war hippy revolution. It was in this atmosphere that the 'Lool' group was founded. Uri Zohar, Boaz Davidson, Arik Einstein, Tzvi Shissel, and Shalom Hanoch started the group's work, and the rest evolved in the "friend brings friend" style. In May 1970, Lool released their first film, "Shablool" (Snail), followed by a record carrying Shablool's songs. The group's dominant creative forces were Shalom Hanoch and Arik Einstein. In light of the film's success and the songs' popularity, a four-part series by the group, also called Lool, was broadcast on television, establishing a new, brave, and creative Israeli humoristic and musical style.
