Orit and Yossi were meant for each other. Everybody in Sderot knew they'd get married someday. Yossi knew he would be there for Orit to materialize her dream of becoming a successful singer. "The Flower of the Outskirts," he used to call her. But dreams do not always turn into reality. Following a family secret Yossi hears from his father - a downright miracle – the son changes his life's course at the father's behest and enrolls in a religious school. Orit tries to get used to having an observant friend, but a crisis eventually erupts, leading to a break-up. The heartbroken Yossi is torn between his desire to keep mitzvoth and honor his father and his wish to win back the love of his youth.
