"Why, I can smile, and murder whiles I smile and cry 'content' to that which grieves my heart.

Raised amid family strife, the royal offspring - a rejected, sickly, and deformed child - turns in his adulthood into a cruel tyrant, a malignant tumor mercilessly brutalizing those who have brutalized him. This deformed villain, who steps on corpses on his way to the throne, is a mirror of human society, with all its flaws - a wake-up call for all of us. Why stop at the family when you can destroy a whole nation?
