Ada, the widow of esteemed theatre personality Shmuel Hammerschlag, is preparing a commemorative evening in his honor. Her excitement turns sour when she realizes the event might not occur due to financial problems. Rachel Bloch, a retired actress and the former lover of the deceased, offers to sponsor the event fully but demands to be granted center stage in exchange. Ada is torn between her desire to host the glittering event – where she would eventually shine and glitter- and her loathing toward her perennial nemesis. The two divas embark on a vicious battle over the memory of the dead, raising in the process all the demons of the past.
