Al Kol Ele (All These Things) - Naomi Shemer Songs

'Sing-along with the Orchestra' series - with the participation of JSO conducted by Eldad Shrem

Naomi Shemer was probably the most pivotal Israeli songwriter of her generation. Her songs
have accompanied Israel since the 1950s when she started writing children's songs in her Kibbutz, Kinneret. Later on, she wrote huge hits for military bands, such as Shir HaShuk (The Market Song), Vals laHaganat Hatsome'akh (The Vegetation Defence Waltz), Yerushalayim Shel Zahav (Jerusalem of Gold), which instantly became the anthem of the Six Day War, Lu Yehi (Let It Be), which became the mantra of the Yom Kippur War, and hundreds of songs that built up a solid part of Israel's soundtrack.

The concert will feature the Habibi Quartet, Naomi's favorite band, who performed many of
her songs, some of which she wrote especially for them. Among the songs: Zamar Noded (A Wandering Singer), Laila BeChof Akhziv (A Night at the Akhziv Beach), Al Kol Ele (All of These), HaChagiga Nigmeret (The Celebration is Over), Omrim Yeshna Eretz (They Say There's a Country), No'a, Chamsinim Bamishlat (Hamsinim In the Armed Shelter), El Borot Hamayim (To the Cisterns), Eretz Lahadam (Fantasy Land), Shir Yovel (Jubilee Song), Ani Gitara (I'm a Guitar), and more.
