Yonatan Razel

Songs. Piano. Selichot

An intimate evening of acoustic renderings by pianist and singer-songwriter Yonatan Razel featuring Razel's greatest hits, as well as Piyyutim and Selichot for the High Holidays, such as Katonti (I am Unworthy ) and Helkat Elohim (God's Little Acre), who have become part of the Israeli soundtrack, and Vehi She'amda (That Has Stood) which took the entire Jewish world by storm.

Razel, an American-born pianist and conductor, grew up on the fusion between international music and the piyyutim of Jerusalemite Nachalot and Mahane Yehuda. He collaborates with many artists in Israel and abroad, and his concerts are particularly intriguing thanks to his personal stories and insights. The performance moves on the axis between classical and ethnic music  - Israeli and foreign – and jazz.
