A spectacular production directed sensitively and lovingly following the great work of the great Jewish writer: Tevye, the poor Jewish dairyman and the father of five daughters, tries to support his family according to the commandments of religion and tradition in a hostile environment, whose influence is increasing and ever-changing. He finds it difficult to deal with the pangs and tribulations of his adult daughters, whose choice of groom is not to his satisfaction. In addition to troubles at home, all the town's Jews face the danger of being expelled from their homes.
